With
all the confusion in the media regarding supplements, losing weight,
and eating correctly – WHAT
is a person to do?
The
first thing to discuss is the recently released study about vitamins
and extending or shortening of life. The latest news media reports
recently released, concluded vitamins do not extend life and may
shorten life.
Unfortunately,
a couple of important details were left out. The people in the study
were all elderly and almost all had diseases – cancer, heart
disease, and diabetes. THIS IS KIND OF IMPORTANT!
The
second important detail was that all the vitamins were chemicals –
made in a factory. Despite chemical company’s propaganda,
chemical vitamins don’t work and your body can tell the
difference. For years these same companies have argued that plants
can’t tell the difference from natural healthy soil and
chemical fertilizers.
This
is another example of “You can’t trust the media for the
truth.”
How
about the weight loss advertisements on television? We have seen tons
of commercials on TV and other media about losing weight. There are
“movie stars” and “ordinary people”
advertising in the info commercials and the featured products are
guaranteed to shed pounds.
Before
buying these weight loss programs, you had better check them out
because they are loaded with chemicals. If you try to read the labels
and you can’t spell or pronounce the words you had better stay
away from them. Most of these chemicals will probably keep your body
from decomposing if you were to die.
Remember
that 97 % of the time – DIETS DON’T WORK. Save your
money, detoxify, and change your life style if you want to be
healthier and let the slimmer you out of the confinements of being
overweight.
Eating
correctly is almost impossible if you listen to the media. Just this
week, one of the major grocery store chains in Dallas- Fort Worth has
been advertising they have frozen food and it is just as healthy as
fresh foods. We all know that we have to preserve foods but do they
really think we are so ignorant that we will believe frozen foods are
just as healthy as fresh foods? I think not!
I
come back to the original question – What
is a person to do?
This
may seem silly or “I already thought of this” but I have
the answer to all our health problems and healthy food eating –
If it is on TV, radio, and
newspapers DON’T BUY IT!
At
first you might think that I am nuts, but hear me out. Why are
products advertised in the media – TO MAKE MONEY – DAH!
If
you can advertise on TV, then the product must be making money or the
company couldn’t afford the commercial. Most of the foods,
diets, etc in the media are junk foods that have no nutrition and are
loaded with chemicals. Most have spices (50% MSG), hydrolyzed
vegetable protein (made differently but essentially MSG), natural
flavorings (50% MSG), and yeast extract (50% MSG). In other words if
these chemicals – flavor enhancers – were not present,
the product would taste worse than grass.
In
other words, the more things that are advertised to make money - then
the poorer the ingredients. Look at soft drinks – they are
loaded with corn syrup (worse than sugar and a product of genetic
engineering + herbicides and pesticides), phosphoric acid and other
chemicals. There is not one good thing about soft drinks. They lower
your immune system and allow you to get more colds.
Hear
is the kicker about soft drinks, they cost less than 5 cents for one
small cup of the drink, but is sold for 75 cents or more. Do you see
the profit and how it can pay billions of dollars in advertising
expenses and still make millions of dollars in profits?
How
many ads do you see for apples? None! The reason is that there are
not millions of dollars of “hidden” profits.
Another
thought on this topic is shopping in grocery stores. Most people
don’t realize that companies pay for shelf space in grocery
stores. The profits have to be high to pay for space and still make
money to pay for media advertising and still make exorbitant profits
to satisfy the stock holders. These more expensive foods (higher
profit) are always at eye level and since most shoppers are women,
these “edible things” – meaning not nutritious –
are about 52 to 54 inches above the floor.
Stores
put less profitable – hence sometime more nutritious –
items on the top and/or the bottom shelves.
What
is the take home from this E-Zine or how do you eat and live
healthier because of this information?
The
most advertised products concerning food have the least nutrition and
the most profits.
DON’T
BUY “FOOD” ADVERTISED ON TV, RADIO, NEWSPAPER OR THAT IS
EYE LEVEL ON YOUR GROCERY STORE SHELVES. With this
one little tip you will be on your way to being healthier and less
risk of being over weight.
