Vignettes to make Life a Little Better and More Prosperous

I didn't start out to make this article and comments into a newsletter but after writing my comments I decided that everyone should know the lies and deceit that is forced upon the people of the world by corporate greed. Corporate profits, trumps the people's health every time.

Remember that healthy grass fed non-chemical beef is a health food that supplies Omega III's , CLA's (conjugated linoleic acids), and other beneficial fatty acids to our bodies. Hormones, Steroids, Antibiotics, and other chemicals in the American food system do not promote good health but it does produce disease.

My comments are in red and the doctor from A & M has his views in blue.

McDonalds Beef & A & M

The following information showed up the other day and I can't let this go by without some comments. I have read other information similar to this in other places on the internet.

First thing about McDonald's is they have never used US beef. In the past they have used worn out dairy cows that could not produce any more milk. These cattle are shot full of antibiotics and other chemical (Bovine Growth Hormones) - hence the reason dairy cows were cheap.

Subject: McDonald's won't buy American beef anymore
>>
>>
>>>
>>> I'm sure those of you who aren't in the cattle business don't
>>> understand the issues here. But to those of us who who's living
>>> depends on
>>> the cattle market, selling cattle, raising the best beef possible...
>>> this is frustrating.

We have not had "raising the best beef possible" in the US for at least 45 to 50 years. We used to have the best beef possible which were the British breeds. Then greed from industrial meat manufactures wanted beef which matured more slowly so they stayed in the feed lots longer therefore making more money for the feed lot owners. To accomplish this, Land Grant colleges like TX A & M, rubbed elbows with large corporations which dictated the size of the cows and what they were fed. The Land Grant universities were designated to work with extension agents and the ranchers and farmers. They were told to use Continental breeds from Europe because they had large muscles and were originally bred for either work or draft usage. This breed of cattle was either bred for work or draft animals due to their size. Hence, "origination of tough meat in our stores". The most recent way to solve the problem is to use ammonia in the meat packages to tenderize it.

Along the way meat professors and other advisors started using hormones to increase the animal's size. They use 5 hormones in feed lots. They crowd the animals into a small space which creates disease. To offset this, they feed antibiotics to keep disease down. They also feed the cows grains that are grown with large amounts of herbicides, pesticides and fungicides. To save money they feed all kinds of junk, like chicken manure which is loaded with the chemical Arsenic. This is just one example.

I forgot to mention that when the cows are fed grains of any kind they lose their ability to produce beneficial fatty acids that are so healthy for people - Omega III, CLA's and others.

This is the tip of the iceberg in meat production.

They also inject our meat (beef, chicken, and pork) with a combination of water, high fructose corn syrup, MSG, ammonia - and then remove the air out of the package and replace it with carbon monoxide and other gases so it will last longer on the grocery shelves. They also irradiate it with radiation to kill any e-coli bacteria so that no one gets sick and/or dies - this also kills any health benefits left in the meat.

People like Dr David Forrest want you to believe that we have great beef and that it is safe to eat.

As far as my family, we don't eat at McDonald's much
>>> (Subway is
>>> our choice of fast food), but this will keep us from ever stopping
>>> there
>>> again, even for a drink.
>>>
>>> The original message is from the Texas Cattle Feeders Association.
>>> American cattle producers are very passionate about this. McDonald's
>>> claims
>>> that there is not enough beef in the USA to support their
>>> restaurants. Well,
>>> we know that is not so. Our opinion is they are looking to save
>>> money at our
>>> expense. The sad thing of it is that the people of the USA are the
>>> ones who
>>> made McDonald's successful in the first place, but we are not good
>>> enough to
>>> provide beef.
>>>
>>> We personally are no longer eating at McDonald's, which I am sure
>>> does not make an impact, but if we pass this around maybe there will
>>> be an
>>> impact felt.
>>>
>>> Please pass it on. Just to add a note, all Americans that sell cows
>>> at a livestock auction barn had to sign a paper stating that we do
>>> NOT EVER
>>> feed our cows any part of another cow.
>>>
>>> South Americans are not required to do this as of yet.

South Americans did not ever do this to cows like the feed lot producers in the US did in the past. We are the ones that suggested feeding other animal parts to the US cow herds.
>>>
>>> McDonald's has announced that they are going to start importing much
>>> of their beef from South America. The problem is that South
>>> Americans aren't
>>> under the same regulations as American beef producers, and the
>>> regulations
>>> they have are loosely controlled.

The problem is that the South Americans raise healthier beef and they don't need to be controlled like US feed lots.
>>>
>>>
>>> They can spray numerous pesticides on their pastures that have been
>>> banned here at home because of residues found in the beef. They can
>>> also use
>>> various hormones and growth regulators
- this guy conveniently forgets Ralgrow that ranchers and farmers have been inserting in to cow ears forever - this a hormone made to make cows bigger and fatter before they get to the feed lots - that we can't.
For the most part South Americans don't use these drugs because they want quality meat to reach the US, knowing their natural beef will win out on taste tests and health evaluations.
>>> The American public needs to be aware of this problem and that they
>>> may be putting themselves at risk from now on by eating at good old
>>> McDonald's.

The US public needs to know so that if we use country of origin, we will be able to buy healthy nutritional beef from South America instead of the stuff passed off as healthy beef in the US
>>> American ranchers raise the highest quality beef in the world and
>>> this is what Americans deserve to eat, not beef from countries where
>>> quality
>>> is loosely controlled.

I wish this was true about US ranchers having the highest quality beef but it just isn't true. There is beginning to be a movement to return our beef to it healthy standards of 60 to 70 years ago. There are people that want grass feed healthy non-chemical beef and there are some ranchers and farmers providing grass fed non-chemical beef. Unfortunately, if grass fed beef grows too big in popularity, the industrial beef processors will try to find ways to discredit the smaller farmers to put them out of business. They are already trying to do this with NAIS - insert radio transmitter in animals whether the owners want this or not.

Therefore, I am proposing a boycott of
>>> McDonald's
>>> until they see the light.
>>>
>>> I'm sorry but everything is not always about the bottom line -
this guy is wrong because every food in the US is always about the bottom line - they have even fed chewing gum to cows to save money in the past, and
>>> when it comes to jeopardizing my family's health, that is where I
>>> draw the
>>> line.

I am sorry we can't have healthy beef in this great nation. I would hope that all restaurants would start buying local healthy beef.

Also remember that our agriculture is not trying to feed the world - we can't even feed ourselves - we import over 14 % of the food we eat. The whole idea is to control the world's food production to make money for our chemical companies but to also control the world population so that we get cheap products. Hitler tried to control the world through violence and war - his mistake was not controlling the world's food production - this was brought to our government and others during the trials of Nazi's after WWII.
>>>
>>> I am sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send
>>> it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300) ... and those 300 send it to at
>>> least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the
>>> message
>>> reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE
>>> MILLION consumers!
>>>
>>> I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did
>>> you? Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense
>>> to you,
>>> please pass this message on.
